Finally, I’m announcing the details of my FIRST EVER Tunisia group trip!!
This is a 10-day ADULTS ONLY (16+) group trip, staying mostly in 5 star hotels, eating all the delicious food Tunisia has to offer, exploring old and mystical cities, learning about the culture and history, and enjoying the Mediterranean weather.
This trip is jam packed with unforgettable experiences and I can’t wait to bring you along to show you my first home!
The itinerary isn’t "too" detailed as I would like some elements of surprise but more details can be provided to those who secure a spot and want to know more.
DATES: October 30th - November 8th, 2023
ITINERARY
Day 1 Travel day
Check in at hotel in Sidi Bousaid (5*)
Meet your new friends, dinner together
Day 2 Tunis
Breakfast at the hotel
Choose all or some of the following attractions: Sidi Bousaid, Bardo Museum, Carthage, and Medina tour
Lunch and snacks around town on your own (recommendations will be provided)
Return to same hotel for dinner
Highlights
Sidi Bousaid is known for its cobbled streets and blue-and-white houses overlooking the Mediterranean.
The national Bardo Museum is a jewel of Tunisian heritage. It is housed in an old Beylic palace dating back to the XIXth Century.
Carthage was founded by the Phoenicians of Tyre in 814 BCE; its Phoenician name means “new town.”
Day 3 Dougga and Bulla Regia

Highlights
Dougga or Thugga was a Berber, Punic and Roman settlement. It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site because it represents "the best-preserved Roman small town in North Africa".
Built-in 168 AD by one of the town’s wealthier occupants, Marcus Quadratus, the Theatre can seat up to 3,500 people.
Day 4 and 5 Hammamet and Nabeul
Choose to (or may be you don't have to choose)
Relax by the pool, beach, water sports
OR
Explore nearby old towns, markets, pottery shops
Breakfasts and dinners included.
Lunch on your own at the hotel or in town (recommendations will be provided)
Highlights:
Hammamet and Nabeul are coastal towns located in northeastern Tunisia, on the south coast of the Cape Bon peninsula, surrounded by the Mediterranean Sea.
Known for their resorts, beaches, potteries, and delicious food.
Day 6 Kairouan and ElJem

Visit ElJem & Kairouan
Lunch on the road included
Drive to Tozeur & check in at hotel (5*)

Highlights
Kairouan is the fourth holy city of Islam (after Mecca, Medina, and Jerusalem) and the spiritual capital of Tunisia.
El Djem is the ancient city of Thysdrus, one of the most prosperous in Roman Africa
The amphitheatre of El Jem is one of the best preserved Roman stone ruins in the world, one of the biggest amphitheatres in the world, and is unique in Africa.
Day 7 Tozeur
Breakfast at the hotel
Full day around Tozeur area including Star Wars filming locations.
Lunch included during the day trip
Enjoy a Camel or Quad Ride or 4x4 desert safari back at the hotel

Day 9 Sfax
Breakfast at camp site
Drive to Sfax and enjoy a homemade meal (lunch) with my family
Drive to Tunis, check in at the hotel (5*)
Last dinner together
Day 10 Travel day

Please note: The itinerary is open to small changes. Alternative activities will be planned based on weather and availability. All changes will be made to make your trip worth it!

A deposit of $500 is required to secure your spot.
Deposits are non-refundable.
The trip balance will be due 8 weeks before the trip departure.
A complete trip packet with detailed itinerary, general information, and packing list will be provided once full payment is received.
